Role Summary
HG are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications.

This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate programming and setup.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Carry out other machining disciplines and tasks within your capabilities as directed by your immediate manager.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets production deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Undertake any necessary training as required by the company to enhance skills and meet future job requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and management to resolve any production issues.
  • Accept and implement constructive feedback from the Machine Shop Manager to improve work performance.

PAYE Pay rates

  • 25,272 - £29,484 – Depending on experience.

Shift start times available

  • 6.15am – 4.30pm – 4 x days a week. Monday to Thursday

Requirements:


•              Proven experience as a CNC Turner, with a strong background in programming, setting,   

                  and operating CNC machines.

•              Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

•              Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software.

•              Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

•              Ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions independently.

•              Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

•              Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

•              Willingness to undergo further training as required by the company.
