Rate up to £18.00ph depending on shift, Monday to Friday only

HGV Class 1 C+E and HGV Class 2 C Drivers

HG are recruiting Class 1 and Class 2, with ADR qualifications, Day & Night Drivers to work with our client based at their Newton Le Willows.

This a temporary position which may give you the consistency, commitment & benefits associated with “full time work”, you can enjoy the flexibility of temporary work but the security of working for a blue-chip employer.

Responsibilities

• Class 1 usually one delivery a day, possibly with a collection
• Class 2 multidrop, up to 2-5
• Driving the company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner and in accordance with all current legislation and company guidelines. Ensuring that the vehicle is in a safe & legal condition.
• Reporting any accidents & incidents to management.
• Available to work to a fixed working pattern

Benefits:

Hourly rate (PAYE)

• Class 1 - Monday – Friday Days - £15.00 ph
• Class 1 - Monday – Friday Nights - £16.50 ph

• Class 2 - Monday – Friday Days - £13.00 ph
• Class 2 - Monday – Friday Nights - £14.20 ph
• Breaks unpaid.
• Average shift length – 10 -12hrs daily.
• No assessment needed
• Possible Temp to perm position
• Company pension scheme

Requirements

• HGV Class 1/Class 2 driving license with a minimum 1-year relevant HGV experience 
• Drivers Qualification Card
• Digital Tacho Card
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong customer services skills and values Strong values and ethos around health and safety
• Availability to work Monday to Friday on days and nights.
• Willingness to work increased hours during peak trading time
