About the Role: H&G Engineering is partnering with a well established sheet metal fabrication and pipe fitting company who specialise in Stainless Steel, Mild steel, Aluminium and Titanium fabrications for the Chemical, Food Process, Water treatment, Paper and Petro-Chemical industries.

Working hours:

• 6.30am - 5pm Thursday.
• 6.30am - 2.30pm - Friday.
• 40 hours per week.
• Overtime after 40 hours.

Rate of pay:

• £18 per hour
• Overtime rate 1:  £20.16
• Overtime rate 2:  £22.86

Key Responsibilities:

Our client based in Bury is urgently seeking a skilled Pipefitter / Welder to join their dynamic team.

• Execute pipe fitting and welding tasks with precision.
• Engage in mechanical fitting and maintenance work, ensuring high standards.
• Fabricate parts accurately from drawings or templates.
• Perform NDT and pressure testing on completed works to guarantee quality.
• Unload deliveries and organise storage.
• Working onsite on occasions to complete Pipefitting tasks.
• Support the site team by preparing parts for welding and offering assistance as needed.

The ideal candidate:

•  A recognised qualification or time-served trade apprenticeship in Welding .
  Proven experience in a similar role within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in Welding and Fabrication, with competency in Tig / Mig / Arc Welding.
• Ability to interpret Engineering drawings with precision.
• A strong understanding of Health and Safety practices.
• A CSCS card would be ideal (but not essential)
• Full UK driving license.
