About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer / Estimator to join our team in the fabrication industry. This is a key role involving the preparation of accurate estimates and CAD designs for custom fabrication projects, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate cost estimates and quotations for fabrication projects.

• Interpret technical drawings and customer specifications to assess materials, labour, and production requirements.

• Prepare and update CAD drawings using industry-standard software.

• Collaborate with production and sales teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with client expectations.

• Liaise with suppliers regarding material costs and lead times.

• Maintain and update estimation databases and project documentation.

• Provide technical support during project execution as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in estimation and CAD design within fabrication or manufacturing.

• Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, materials, and techniques.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
