HG Recruitment Solutions is looking to recruit an HGV C+E Tramper Driver in Rushden, Northamptonshire.

Operating nationally for our client with curtain side trailers or containers collecting and delivering to locations across the UK Overtime and extra shifts available.

Full-time, Permanent HGV C+E Tramper Driver

Monday – Friday or Tuesday - Saturday

Start times between 03.00 – 07.00

Pay rate:

• Shift Rates - £16.00 Per Hour
• + £5 / day - Meal allowance – Non-Taxable
• + £26.20 / Night out allowance

As an HGV Class 1 / C+E Driver (Tramping), you will be responsible for transporting goods across long & short distances, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires a valid CE Licence 6 Months +.

You will report to the Transport teams and play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations. Your core skills in vehicle operation and compliance with road safety regulations, along with your skills in route planning and time management, will be essential in meeting our clients’ organizational goals.

Requirements

• HGV C+E Class 1 license – 6 Months Experience
• UK Port Pass – Desirable
• Full HGV C+E licence with no more than six points for minor endorsements
• Digital Tacho and Driver Qualification Cards
• Customer focused attitude

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 / C+E vehicles, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and legal requirements.
• Transport goods over long & short distances, often involving overnight stays away from home.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and adhere to scheduled routes.
• Manage loading and unloading ensuring proper handling 
• Communicate effectively with the Transport Teams regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
